Congratulations! You’ve finished the rough draft of your novel. Or maybe you’re closing in on the ending. Or you’ve revised your novel within an inch of its life and it is finally time to submit to agents and editors! So what’s next to get published?

Let’s make your story as strong and enticing as possible. We’ll go through strategies for effective revising. We’ll give your manuscript a thorough check-up to make sure there aren’t any problem areas. We’ll do story first aid if necessary! We’re going to fine-tune your story so it’s the best it can be. Then we’ll tackle how to submit a professional and captivating query to agents or editors, and how to handle all the subsequent steps on the journey to publication. I’m happy to share my insights working with agents and various publishing houses (including Random House and Disney-Hyperion).

The workshop will be held at my house on the banks of the Eno River near downtown Hillsborough. A healthy lunch, coffee, and plenty of snacks will be provided. $150 (10 students max).
