Occasionally you need to make sure the various elements of your book are working. Whether it’s point-of-view or character development, the plot structure or raising the stakes in individual scenes, we’ll get you on the right track.

The activities will be centered on supporting your needs and improving your story. Bring in issues you’re confronting, and we’ll give you guidance for improvement. You’ll also gain powerful insights helping fellow students improve their stories. The class will be a warm and supportive environment. John has a variety of tools that will help with whatever your story needs. You’ll leave with tons of new ideas for taking your book to the next level.

The workshop will be held at John’s house on the banks of the lovely Eno River near downtown Hillsborough. A healthy lunch will be provided. $130 (8 students max)
